There is a version of you who has been waiting...
Waiting for the right time. Waiting to feel ready. Waiting for permission to write.
The one who answers emails first thing in the morning, or remembers everyone's schedule but her own, or has a dozen ideas scrawled in the margins of to-do lists -- never once giving them a page of their own.
The piece of you that you’ve been postponing.
The deeper creative self that has been waiting.
The story you haven’t let yourself write...until now.
Every woman who picks up a pen is stepping onto a path paved by dreamers, rebels, and truth-tellers.Â
The act of writing has always been more than ink on paper; for women, it has been a declaration, a reclamation, a homecoming to herself.
After three mornings together, you’ll leave with: Â
✔ A deeper connection to yourself as a writer.
✔ An understanding of the 9 stages of The Heroine's Journey.
âś” A Woman Writer Manifesto you'll return to again and again.
âś” A collection of story ideas drawn from your own life.
âś” Greater confidence sharing your voice.
âś” A supportive community of women walking beside you.
âś” A clear vision for your next creative chapter.
This is about reconnecting with the creative woman you've always been. It's about trusting your voice—and giving yourself permission to write the stories only you can tell.
Yes, I’m in!
The truth is that you don't need to escape to Tuscany or disappear into a cabin in the woods to find her.Â
You just need three mornings where you can attend comfortably in your sweats (or fav pjs), coffee in hand -- where the phone can wait, the laundry can wait, and — for the first time in longer than you'd like to admit — your story doesn't.
We'll write together. Reflect together. And occasionally surprise ourselves together.
Because something extraordinary happens women tap into their truth – not only do their uncover their most powerful stories, they come home to themselves.
And for the duration of this experience, I’ve created a small, private room just for us — The Woman Writer Circle — where you can bring what you've written or simply sit in the company of women doing the same brave thing you are.Â
Imagine…
Feeling something shift because you've written pages you didn't know were inside you.
Seeing your life stories through fresh eyes—and realizing you've been surrounded by story gold all along.
Understanding the Heroine's Journey and how to connect deeply with your audience through storytelling.
Feeling excited to keep writing because you finally know what you want to say.
And walking away with more than a notebook full of ideas...
...You leave with a deeper trust in your voice, a clearer vision for your next creative chapter, and the confidence to write the story you’ve been carrying all along.
Whether your dream is a book, a keynote, a podcast, a newsletter, or simply understanding your own life more deeply, every story begins by discovering the ones only you can tell.
If any of that sounds familiar, you're exactly who I built this for.
Why I Created This Experience
Hi, I'm Debra Jean Rogers, and for more than 30 years I've helped stories find their way into the world—as a Hollywood script reader, story consultant, and writer's coach. Along the way, my students and clients have become bestselling authors and sold stories to Warner Brothers, Disney, ABC, DreamWorks, Fox, and FX.
But the story that changed my life was the one I almost didn't tell: my own.
After a breakup that nearly destroyed me, I started journaling. Every day, I scribbled down my thoughts and feelings. Tears fell on the page many times, but I didn’t stop writing – for years. My release, my mentoring and my healing came through those pages. They were my guiding light as I wrote my way home to myself.
And then something extraordinary happened...
Those pages became my book, He Did You a Favor , and almost overnight, I went from an unknown writer to a multi-award-winning author and go-to expert.
My writing changed my life.
But most importantly, it showed me what happens when a woman finally gives herself permission to tell the story she's here to tell.
That's why I created The Woman Writer's Journey.
I believe there are women everywhere carrying stories that have the power to change their lives, too.
I've seen what happens when women stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect words, or someone else's permission.
When they begin to trust their own voice, they uncover stories they didn't realize they’d been carrying.
And they discover that writing doesn't just change the page—it changes what's possible.

What happens when women finally say “yes” to their stories...
...They discover what was there all along.
“Debra has a gift for seeing past the words on the page--past the surface of what you’ve written -- to the gold buried underneath. She cracks you open to truth so gently, that you don’t realize it’s happening until you’re already there... looking at your story and understanding, perhaps for the first time, why it matters.”
— Richelle GreggÂ
Speaker, Educator, Blogger, Landscape Designer
...They find the courage to share it.
“I’m obsessed with Debra’s ability to draw a story out of me. She creates a rare container where you can be vulnerable, be witnessed, and feel deeply supported while doing the scary work of putting your words into the world. I wouldn’t have finished my manuscript without her."
— Becca BehnkeÂ
Former Broadcast News Reporter, Author, Blogger
...They create work they never imagined possible.
“Being with Debra feels like stepping into Charlie and the Chocolate Factory — and I’m holding the golden ticket! She helped me uncover the heart of what I wanted to say, discover what makes my work unique, write my book, complete a new children’s book, and launch my podcast. None of this would’ve happened without her!"
